Relationship between Robin and Zoro
Zoro discards his pride and requests that Mihawk train him and so that he may improve his ability as a swordsman. Initially, Mihawk refuses saying that he'd have to be mad to train the man who wishes to take his head and title. On second reflection, Mihawk takes note of how Zoro has discarded his pride not just to get stronger, but to do it for his crew.
In the end, he agrees to train Zoro. For two years, Zoro studies under Mihawk and it is due to this time that his skills have increased considerably when the crew is reunited. Failing to defeat Kuina in a duel, Zoro enrolls in Koshiro's sword school. He trains to get stronger and so that he can eventually defeat Kuina. Zoro challenges Kuina times and loses every time. In their final duel, using real blades, Zoro is defeated once more, but Kuina tells him that one day he will be stronger than her because she is a woman and he is a man.
Zoro finds her reasoning unacceptable and makes her vow that one day one of them would become the world's greatest swordsman. The following day, Kuina passes away after falling down a set of stairs. Grief ridden, Zoro begs Koshiro to let him carry her sword Wado Ichimonji and so that he can use it to fulfill the vow he had made with her.
Kuina's passing is a large part of Zoro's motivation to achieve his dream, feeling doubly responsible for ensuring it comes to fruition as she no longer can fight for the title.
He often remembers his vow with her when in a dire position against a powerful foe. The two often refer to Zoro as 'aniki' which means 'older brother' as Zoro had come to their rescue against a dangerous pirate they couldn't take down.
The three teamed up as a trio of bounty hunters. They cross paths once again in the Baratie story arc and tag along throughout the Arlong Park story arc. As Zoro has become a criminal, the two sadly remark that they cannot continue to journey with him. They part on good terms and likely continue on as bounty hunters. Zoro is quickly impressed with Kin'emon's skill as a swordsman and the two quickly develop a mutual sense of respect towards each other.
There is a bit of friction between the two as Zoro refuses to give up Shusui which he was awarded when he defeated Ryuma on Thriller Bark. Kin'emon believes that the blade, a relic of his country, must be returned. While the sword only comes up on occasion, it does not prevent the two from working together on Punk Hazard and during the battle of Dressrosa. He almost always has three swords with him as they are crucial to his particular style of combat. Beyond his blades, Zoro is physically incredibly strong and is shown to be able to keep up with Sanji when unarmed.

Much of his idle time on their journey is spent training with exceptionally heavy weights and in meditation. As such, he is often considered one of the three most powerful of the Straw Hats. Typically, Zoro ends up fighting the second most powerful enemy in major story arcs. Santoryu literally translates to 'three sword style'. When fighting, he wields three-swords at the same time, holding one sword in each hand and the third with his teeth.
Zoro often chooses to only fight with two of his swords, saving Wado Ichimonji for only the most serious of fights. Originally, Zoro began his career as a swordsman with Nitoryu, which means two-sword style.
Nami/Personality and Relationships
He chose to fight with two swords at first as he thought he could use them to defeat his childhood rival Kuina.
When fighting with a single sword, Zoro most frequently uses his primary weapon, Wado Ichimonji. He seems to favor it less for ittoryu following the timeskip. Early in the series, Zoro says that he feels he is weakest with only one blade, but following the timeskip appears to have greatly improved his ability with a single sword. Notable attacks include Ittoryu Iai: Without any weapons, Zoro improvised to use his techniques without blades. The most notable attack was Tatsu Maki Dragon Twister which he uses to send his opponents flying.
Out of all the Straw Hats, he is probably the one that loves to fight the most and along with Luffy and Sanji is described by Nami and Usopp as the three monsters He is the second stronger member. Nevertheless, he has a more sensitive side that he tends to hide: He also wanted to become number 1 as a promise to said to Kuina.
He likes to party and after Robin is the most level-headed of the crew. He uses three swords, although he can also use a single sword and double sword style moves too. He uses his black bandanna when he has a serious fight, this give to Zoro a more bad-ass design. Other features of Zoro is his tendency to sleep except when there is Robin and the fact that he has no sense of direction.
SbS information for Roronoa Zoro: Chapter 3; Episode 2 Animal: Shark, in the new world as a Tiger there are a few cover with a tiger Color: Green Favorite Type of Island and Season: Autumn on an Autumn Island Cooking Specialties: He is represented officially with the number 2. The number 3 is also connected to Zoro 3 katana. Robin is introduced as an antagonist and the right-hand woman of Crocodile.
Seemingly emotionless and cruel, it is later revealed that Robin had to join a criminal organization to avoid being captured and killed by the World Government from the age of eight. Often leaving said organizations when the World Government came for her or when they tried to hand her over. She joined Crocodile for a similar reason, but also to read the Poneglyph in Alabastra.
Unfortunately, most Poneglyphs contain knowledge of ancient weapons, which is why she is wanted by the World Government their official reason and also the reason her hometown, family, and friends were destroyed and killed.
Robin then demands he take responsibility as she has nowhere else to go and he accepts and thus she ends up joining the Straw Hats. Other than Sanji and Luffy, most of the crew is suspicious of her but all eventually come to see her as a true crewmate and friend.
Robin is very knowledgeable on many topics owing to her background as a scholar and prodigy. As such, Robin is the one that tends to explain things to the other Straw Hats. She also has a morbid sense of humour and likes to matter-of-factly state rather morbid facts to the other crew members, much to their dismay. Nami is also willing to politely borrow other peoples clothes, such as borrowing Sanji's jacket to wear at the end of the Little Garden Arc after Usopp's plan to save her, Vivi, and Zoro had burned her shirt, leaving her with a black bra on, until she could get a replacement shirt after returning to the Going Merry.
Nami even expressed shock at a talking, clothed crocodile, despite traveling around with Chopper and Carrot from the Mink Tribe as Luffy pointed out and said she should be used to things by now. Nami is greedy and will do anything for money and treasureaccepting any challenge that comes along.
Her love of money stems from her childhood, where she lived a poor life and was often upset at having little wealth despite the love of her adopted mother. While she will send in Luffy and the rest of the crew to meet the demand, the one thing she will not do is sell out a comrade, no matter what the sum. She has several times put her own crewmates in debt over trivial matters like Luffy for tearing her coat and Zoro for borrowingonly not to spend it and return it later. She takes control of the amount of money the crew spends, ever aware of the crew's spending habits such as Luffy's desire to spend all they have on meat and tries her hardest to avoid it getting spent all at once.
To this end, she is in complete horror whenever the rest of the crew wastes money or passes up an opportunity to get it. Bravery Edit She has been known to stand her ground against anyone hurting her comrades, abandoning her otherwise normal routine of trying to stay out of harm's way.
In the Thriller Bark Arconce again Nami refused to run away, and stood her ground when Absalom attacked Lola, then again when Kuma confronted the crew. She agreed to board his ship and go to his promised land out of fear after seeing all the strong fighters lose the game, but later after hearing his plans that would forsake the sky islandshe soon turns on him.
She is easily one of the Straw Hat's most emotional members, showing much understanding of and insight into feelings. However, it is to be noted that while she suffered under the guise of being part of Arlong's crew, her sister said that she has never seen Nami cry since Bellmere's death.
The first time she did was when she thought her village was going to be annihilated and she asks Luffy for help. Nami is also capable of great forgiveness, even back when she blamed Luffy for the destruction of Chouchou 's owner's shop, she soon cooled her anger when saw that Luffy had salvaged food for the dog.
Due to her deep compassion and empathy, Nami is willing to help people in dire needs even when there is absolutely no monetary benefits in doing so. As shown in Punk Hazard, Nami is strongly determined to rescue the gigantified children after learning from Chopper that they were abducted and tricked into becoming test subjects in Caesar's experiments, declaring that she will not leave until she has assured their safety.
When she and the Curly Hat Pirates first arrived at Zou, she joined her crewmates in treating the injuries of Wanda and the Mink Tribe after they were brutally devastated by the Beast Pirates. She even cried when she learnt that the Mink Tribe actually endangered their lives in protecting Raizo.
During the Punk Hazard ArcNami is shown to have a soft side for children. When she and the others are fleeing through the Biscuits Room, the giant children plead with her to save them. After which she stops, and declares that she cannot turn her back on crying children asking to be saved.
Interestingly enough, Oda has stated that Nami would be a child-care worker if she weren't already a pirate.
